We're having a boy! Here are our 36 week maternity photos done by my talented mom! We had a lot of fun being creative and documenting this incredible time in our lives. There are a few that I can't put up until the baby is born because they involve his name which we haven't made public yet.

Deployment #2 is OVER, on to Virginia Beach!
Gary is done with his second deployment, I found a beautiful condo in Norfolk right across from the Little Creek base and our summer is in full swing! All is right with the world (well our world at least). Let's start off with July 4th. This holiday and other patriotic holidays have a special place in my heart that they never did before my other half decided to serve our country. I'm so proud of the work he does and honored to support him from home.
We celebrated Independence Day with the lovely Korie and her man Paul. It was so nice to have friends in our new home to celebrate with us.
We then took a short trip back to PA to see my brother and his wife Beth. Since we were all home we decided to have a little family reunion.
Don't mind Abby photo bombing in the background. hehe.
On a whim, Alex and Beth and their little fur child, Mason, decided to come hang out in Virginia Beach with us for the week. It was nice to get some time with them. With both Alex and Gary being military men we may not get to see each other as much as we would like over the next several years. Gotta take advantage of time together when we can.
Alex doesn't believe in sunscreen.
We finally got the dogs to be still near each other for like 5 seconds.
Alex and Beth left and we literally had an hour to clean up and change the guest room sheets before Gary's parents arrived. We felt like we were running a B&B. The highlight of the trip was going to the top of the Cape Henry Lighthouse at Fort Story, the oldest in the US. It's no longer functioning but the black and white one was built to take its place.
Throughout the summer we had more visitors than we could count. We love being back on the east coast. We're getting much needed time to reconnect with loved ones. We're looking forward to what the next 3 years is going to bring here in Virginia Beach, VA.

Last Cali Vacation Then Onto Our Journey Across the USA... Again.
CAYUCOS
Our weekend at On The Beach Bed and Breakfast in Cayucos was a very thoughtful Christmas gift from Phillip, Gary's brother. It was a last minute get away before our big trip back to the East Coast. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains from our room and Morrow Bay from the pier.
Schooner's was the coolest little restaurant/bar that looked out on Morrow Bay. We took full advantage of their outside deck to watch the sunset.
This gigantic rock is in the middle of Morrow Bay. That day the clouds were just resting on top!
Yum! Ruddell's had some fantastic food.
Thanks for our wonderful vacation Phil!
GRAND CANYON
Bagger got comfy in the back on top of our suitcases. It's gonna be a long ride buddy.
We were so excited to reach the Grand Canyon. Neither of us had been there before so we were both blown away at the sight of these gorgeous canyons.
Bagger got to experience the Grand Canyon with us.
Back on the road and stumbled upon the only place in the USA where you can be in 4 states at the same time.
COLORADO
We stopped in at Alex and Beth's new place in Fountain, CO. It was nice to see them and have Bagger and Mason meet!
Alex took us on a little hike up the mountain.
The Colorado Rockies are absolutely breathtaking.
A monkey as always.
Garden of the Gods in the distance.
The rest of our trip was pretty uneventful. When we made it to PA Bagger experienced snow for the first time. He loved it!
What a trip! Now we're in Virginia Beach for a few years. We're looking forward to coming home a lot more often!
